Merry Christmas

Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday where ever you may be!

Tony & I celebrated early and had a wonderful little Christmas. Tony made a delicious roast for supper & cocktails. (I called mine the cran-ras tontastic!) We exchanged gifts (again Tony rocks!) & enjoyed our evening together.

Random thought...

Do snowmen get cold being outside all day??

Time...where did you go??

Time flies. I always think that I will have time for this & time for that...but where does the time go? I am sitting here making a list of things that I need to get done in the next few days and realize that some of these tasks have been on my list for, oh, SIX MONTHS?!? Three weeks, ...a year (if we are being honest here) Really?? I should have time for some of this stuff right??
Minutes seem to crawl by, like now sitting at work wishing it were time to go home. Days seem to go by, it is amazing how fast a day off goes. Months jog right past, it seems like I was just home...and that was October. And years...they just fly, 2009 is seriously around the corner. Which means I need to add new years resolutions to my list!

Snow!

It is snowing here! And I love it! Even after shoveling the driveway a couple times already. ( I apologize to everyone in the Midwest who is sick of snow) It finally feels like December and home in a way.

December Already

It is hard to imagine that it is already December. I feel like I just moved here yesterday! So to get in the holiday spirit Tony & I put our tree up the beginning of December with Christmas music cranked in the background. I thought that our tree was huge in Denver. I thought that it was just the right size in Kansas City and now our tree looks small. We are grateful to have such a nice, big house here and we had a good chuckle standing on our front lawn looking in the window at our little Charlie Brown tree....I love our tree, even if it does look a little Charlie-Brown-like!

And so it starts...

But where to start is my problem.

I love reading friend's blogs (especially while working). It helps me feel caught up and in the know and that is something that I have come to find is a rare feeling when working night shift. I feel that I have lost touch with the rest of the world since I function (or try to atleast) on a totally different time frame than most other people when I am working. So I have finally come to the conclusion that I need to start one of my own...and then I sit here and stare at this computer wondering what to write.

So I will start with a tag from a good friend at the musings of a wandering spirit. I am to to tell six quirky or boring things about myself and then "tag" a blogger or two to do the same...

1. I love to scrapbook even though it takes me forever to get projects finished.

2. I used to hate horseradish. The thought of it could almost gag me...but now I kind of like it. It goes to prove you should give things a try.

3. I have almost 2 years of pictures on my computer that need to be edited and printed.

4. I have a thing with calendars...I have to know & be able to see what is going on...in a organized color cordinated kind of way.

5. I am proud to say that I am from Iowa, more so now after moving 3 times than ever before. There is a lot to be said for Midwestern values.

6. I am a list person. I like lists and I love to be able to cross things off my list. Sometimes I add things to my list of things to do just so I can cross it off and feel like I accomplished something.

Now it is your turn! Post away 6 things.
